What's Coming Up?

We are looking into a community clean-up day.  Check back soon for details!

A personal note from Pastor Chris-

There are many reasons why people choose to attend a particular church or fellowship of believers.  You will find Calvary Chapel Kuna to be a welcoming place where the Word of God is taught in its entirety and in simplicity.  We abide by the saying, "Simply teach God's Word,  simply."

The purpose of this church is to glorify God.  We keep that in mind in all we do as a fellowship.  Keeping with the idea of glorifying God, we also have two duties as a fellowship:

1st Duty: Edify the saints.  To build up the people who attend Calvary Chapel Kuna.  As Ephesians 4:11,12 says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God.”  This includes fellowship, teaching, preaching, prayer, helping each other, etc.  This way those who attend are healthy spiritually, and therefore become evangelists naturally because they are so in love with Jesus.

2nd Duty: Evangelism.  To tell others about Jesus and how wonderful He is, AND how much they need Him.  Acts 1:8 says, “and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”  And that evangelism begins right here in our little town of Kuna,  Idaho.  This is why we have been at the forefront of organizing "The Christian Churches of Kuna," an organization of local fellowships whose focus is local service with evangalism as an ultimate goal.  People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.  And we believe they will see we care for them deeply when we, as Jesus said in the above Acts 1:8 quote, are "witnesses" to Him by our actions, which may not be actual wittnessing.  As St. Francis of Assisi is credited with saying, "Preach the Gospel at all times.  If necessary, use words."

It is my desire to see this be a place where:

~those who are seeking God can find salvation through Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.                               ~those who are spiritually hungry can be fed and filled with the Word of God.                                                               ~those who want to be used by God can be discipled and equipped for the work of the kingdom of God. ~those who are called can be recognized and sent out to fulfill the Great Commission.

It is clear from Scripture that it is the Lord who adds to His body of believers.  Acts 2:47 tells us: "And the Lord added daily to the church those who were being saved."

If you are seeking God, hungry to hear the truth of the Word of God, want to be used by God, or feel He is calling you, please join us.  If after attending you feel the Lord is appointing you to Calvary Chapel Kuna, I invite you to make this your church home.  We would love to have you.

In His love,
Pastor Chris
